Help the Disadvantaged : Project California Summer Community Service Program

Volunteer @ the Foodbank

Help the DisadvantagedProvide first-hand assistance to the hungry of Santa Barbara County. Collect food from area donors, sort fresh produce in the warehouse for distribution throughout the community, and participate in the Brown Bag Program where we personally deliver food to home-bound, low-income seniors. This is a wonderful opportunity to fulfill the universal mission of feeding people in need.

  • Community Service participants volunteer with the same project for the length of the program, in order to create meaningful bonds between our volunteers and those they are helping.
  • Participants volunteer Monday – Friday, four hours per day, for the four weeks of the program, earning a total of 80 hours of Community Service.
  • The goal of Project California Community Service is not only to give back to the community but for our participants to also learn and grow through their experiences.
