Rein Community Service projects performed in conjunction with Carpinteria Parks and Preserves, Project Clean Water, Channel Islands Restoration, Coal Oil Point Preserve.
Our environmental restoration project will serve in beautifying Santa Barbara County and will promote a healthier living environment. All volunteer work takes place outdoors and each day offers a different restoration experience. Our volunteers will take part in enhancing the biological functions of a salt marsh, restoring native plant-life, reducing weeds and shrubs that encroach upon native plant species, maintaining a local greenhouse, and beautifying local county beaches. At the conclusion of this program our volunteers perform an overnight project on the beautiful Channel Islands. This is a great opportunity to help our natural environment.
- Community Service participants volunteer with the same project for the length of the program, in order to make a lasting impact on the environment of beautiful Santa Barbara County.
- Participants volunteer Monday - Friday, four hours per day, for the four weeks of the program, earning a total of 80 hours of Community Service.
- The goal of Project California Community Service is not only to give back to the community but for our participants to also learn and grow through their experiences.
