Rein Community Service project performed in conjunction with Santa Barbara County Animal Services and Santa Barbara Humane Society.
Santa Barbara County Animal Services and Santa Barbara Humane Society both maintain the mission of providing a safe and nurturing environment for adoptable animals that have been abandoned or lost. We will spend time feeding, training, and playing with our new furry friends, as well as maintaining the grounds to provide higher quality living conditions for the animals. This is your opportunity to improve the lives of Santa Barbara’s neediest animals.
- Community Service participants volunteer with the same project for the length of the program, in order to create meaningful bonds between our volunteers and the animals they are helping.
- Participants volunteer Monday – Friday, four hours per day, for the four weeks of the program, earning a total of 80 hours of Community Service.
- The goal of Project California Community Service is not only to give back to the community but for our participants to also learn and grow through their experiences.
